Tyler Reddick will attempt to make NASCAR history Sunday with momentum on his side at Circuit of the Americas.
Fresh off back-to-back wins to open the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season, Reddick heads to Austin seeking a third consecutive victory. It's a feat no driver has accomplished to start a Cup season in the sport’s 78-year history. That's over the entire 2,789 Cup races in history.
Reddick took his first Daytona 500 win with an outstanding final lap. The encore in the Autotrader 400 at EchoPark Speedway was even better. He overcame right-front damage and a late multi-car crash before making a decisive move on the final lap.
Nobody predicted the strong start 23XI Racing would be able to pull off. Going into COTA, Reddick and teammate Bubba Wallace are first and second, respectively. Both are decent road course racers as well.
The DuraMAX Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas will be a difficult test for Reddick. However, he has proven that he's capable on such layouts, earning three of his 10 career Cup wins on road courses, including COTA’s full-course configuration in 2023. According to NASCAR Insights, Reddick and Hendrick Motorsports' Alex Bowman are the only drivers to finish in the top 10 in all five Cup races at COTA.

Another driver to watch will be Shane van Gisbergen. The Trackhouse Racing veteran built his career on long twist and turns. But Reddick’s recent consistency with four straight top-10 finishes on road and street circuits makes him a legitimate threat.
If Reddick delivers again for 23XI and Michael Jordan, history will follow them.
