00 am. I peeked out, because what else can one do when they hear that sounds like a cat being attacked? I wanted to do

something. But then this little Grey streak came pouncing out of the snow covered bush and stood on her hind legs right in front of me, basically begging for uppies. She would cry and cry if my roommate or I put her down for those first

few hours. She absolutely drank an entire small bowl of water, then we gave her some more, locked her in the bathroom since our house was so not cat proofed, and ran to Walmart as soon as they opened at 6am to get a litter box, cat food, and other essentials.

We posted her all over Facebook, next door, fliers on poles, called the local aspca, and had her scanned for a microchip. Nobody has come forward, and it really seems like she owns the place now.

First two photos are her first night here, the rest are just her doing her favorite things, mostly napping on every surface she can.

IrmaHerms "Congratulations humans! You're being adopted, now open up the door to my house!"

  • The second this kitten came charging out of that snowy bush and ran straight to her future humans, the decision was already made. Sure, they did all the responsible things by searching for an owner and checking for a microchip, but this little gray girl seemed completely unconcerned with those details. In her mind, she had already found her people. Everything that happened afterward was just the paperwork catching up with her decision.

Big-Smile5345 That never stood a chance! Lol. Cute little thing. Thank you for doing so much & giving her a for every home to be loved, and safe in.

  • This little gray kitten clearly knew what she was doing. Out of all the houses she could have wandered up to, she somehow found the perfect one complete with two humans ready to keep her safe, feed her, and spoil her rotten. The fact that she came running out of a snowy bush and immediately demanded to be picked up makes it seem less like luck and more like a carefully planned decision. She chose well.

    00am!

  • These two may think they rescued a kitten, but what they actually did was accept a new feline overlord into their household. The signs were there from the beginning. She showed up uninvited, demanded immediate attention, claimed both humans as her own, and quickly took possession of every comfortable spot in the house. A few months later, she's living like royalty while her loyal subjects provide food, shelter, and endless affection. The system is working exactly as intended.
