The New York Knicks ended their four-game losing streak Wednesday night, beating the Brooklyn Nets in blowout fashion. New York allowed the fewest points in a game all season, surrendering 66 in a 54-point win.
That said, despite the victory, rumors continue to surface surrounding New York's plans at the upcoming trade deadline.
Karl-Anthony Towns trade rumors have dominated headlines, while Guerschon Yabusele continues to be mentioned as a name that may be moved.
Thursday, two of New York's possible trade targets were revealed. According to NBA insider Michael Scotto, the Knicks have not only inquired about the availability of defensive guard Jose Alvarado, but also of his teammate Yves Missi.
Although he made the All-Rookie team a season ago, Missi has seen a decline in production this year, as he's been replaced in the starting lineup by Derik Queen. After averaging 9.1 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in the 2024-25 season, Missi is averaging 5.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 2026.
As for Alvarado, the fifth-year guard is averaging 7.9 points, 3.3 assists and one steal per game.
With plenty of guards in the rotation (Jalen Brunson, Jordan Clarkson, Miles McBride and Landry Shamet), the Knicks would likely part ways with one of them when acquiring Alvarado.
When it comes to Yabusele, New York is still likely to trade him, whether the Pelicans are interested in his services or not.
In the meantime, the Knicks will return to action Saturday against the Philadelphia 76ers.
