The Minnesota Twins' season ended last year during the trade deadline. They had a fire sale, parting ways with five of their best relief pitchers.
While it helped the farm system, it left the team's bullpen searching for arms. And now they go into the future without Jhoan Duran, who has proved to be one of the most elite closers in the game.
Restructuring their bullpen will be key to the club's success this upcoming season. They should want to do all they can with the AL Central looking to be quite obtainable in 2026.

Twins urged to focus on the pitching front before it's too late
The open market is getting smaller and smaller with each passing day. As Spring Training workout dates have been posted, some teams and players are starting to get antsy about the future and are jumping the gun on some of these deals.
However, that does not mean there are some intriguing relievers still waiting for their next contract. It would make a lot of sense for Minnesota to go after one of the top relievers still left.
Bleacher Report's Kerry Miller believes Nick Martinez or Seranthony Dominguez could be realistic options for Minnesota at this point.
"If they're making any effort to contend this season, though, they need bullpen help, and a lot of it. RHP Seranthony Dominguez is arguably the best arm still available. Veteran swingman RHP Nick Martinez is another option who can eat innings."
Both pitchers are excellent options for some bullpen help. And Martinez could even start some games if needed, with his experience as a starter and a reliever.
If the Twins want either of these arms, they'd better act quickly. I could not imagine that either of these two pitchers will be on the open market much longer.
