The Miami Dolphins, amid their head coach and general manager change, are making a major switch at the quarterback position.
On Monday morning, the Dolphins made their release of Tagovailoa official. And not long afterwards, they went out and added Malik Willis on a three-year, $67.5 million deal.
And just like how the Dolphins moved on quickly, Tagovailoa is as well. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Tagovailoa has already found his new home, as he's now going to sign with the Atlanta Falcons on a one-year veteran minimum contract.
Tua Tagovailoa quickly makes free agent decision with Falcons
"ESPN sources: former Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa plans to sign a one-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons," Schefter reports.
This is a big move for the former Dolphins quarterback. He's headed to the Falcons on a one-year deal and will join fellow lefty quarterback Michael Penix Jr. in one of the more interesting QB rooms in the NFL.
As Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports, this one-year deal is now official, as "Tua is signing with the Falcons."
It's a $1.3 million contract for Tagovailoa, as the former Dolphins quarterback has very quickly found a new home.

In the hours after the Dolphins officially made the decision to cut Tagovailoa, the Dolphins added Malik Willis, and Tagovailoa found a new home in the Falcons.
With Penix coming off a serious injury, Tagovailoa might get a chance to start the year leading the Falcons' offense. It's an interesting fit for Tagovailoa, and one that's been rumored as free agency was approaching.
And now, on the first day of the legal tampering period, the Falcons and Tagovailoa are in agreement on a one-year deal to give the former 2020 fifth-overall pick, making $54 million from the Dolphins in 2026, a chance to start for Atlanta this season.
