President Donald Trump’s granddaughter Kai Trump will make her LPGA debut today in the penultimate event in this year’s competition calendar, The Annika.

Trump, the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and a University of Miami commit announced on X that she would be competing in the tournament. “My dream has been to compete with the best in the world on the LPGA Tour,” she said in a release.

She will be up against some of the best women’s golfers in the world, including The Annika defending champion and world No. 2 Nelly Korda.

The 2025 annika: what to know

  • When: Nov. 13-16
  • Where: Pelican Golf Club (Belleair, Florida)

Ahead of the event, Trump said that she received some advice from 15-time major champion Tiger Woods, who is also dating Trump’s mother, Vanessa.

“I mean, he is the best golfer in the entire world. I would say that. And even better person,” Trump said Tuesday. “He told me to go out there and have fun and just go with the flow. Whatever happens, happens.”

Trump received a sponsor exemption to compete in the tournament as an amateur golfer.

“Sponsor invitations are an important way to spotlight emerging talent and bring new attention to our tournaments and the LPGA,” explained LPGA chief tour business and operations officer Ricki Lasky. “Kai’s broad following and reach are helping introduce golf to new audiences, especially among younger fans. We’re excited to see her take this next step in her journey.”
