PGA Tour CEO shares excitement for the Cadillac Championship

The PGA Tour has signed a multiyear deal with Cadillac for its new signature event. The Tour CEO, Brian Rolapp, opened up about the tournament on Monday while announcing the new deal.

"We are pleased to welcome back Cadillac, a world-class brand whose partnership with the PGA TOUR is synonymous with Trump National Doral, a legacy venue on our schedule,” Rolapp said. “We appreciate the support of Cadillac as we bring a new era of the PGA TOUR to our fans in Miami.”

Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization, Eric Trump, also opened up about the PGA Tour event taking place on the golf course.

"For more than half a century, Trump National Doral has been lucky enough to host the PGA TOUR, and the WGC-Cadillac Championship has been a big part of that story," Trump said. "We are excited to welcome Cadillac back – an iconic brand and a longtime friend – for the Cadillac Championship at Trump National Doral, one of the most celebrated golf destinations anywhere in the world.”

The PGA Tour's signature events feature a limited field and an elevated purse. The 2026 season was scheduled to start with The Sentry event, one of the signature events.

However, it was canceled as the Kapalua Golf Course was shut down due to water restrictions. The Cadillac Championship is now the new signature event.

The other signature events are the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the Genesis Invitational, the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the RBC Heritage, the Truist Championship, the Memorial Tournament, and the Travelers Championship.
