Triple H has completely ruined the credibility of one of his biggest stars in WWE

While John Cena recently completed his retirement tour, Triple H seems to have ruined one of the company's biggest stars. The former World Heavyweight Champion has not been seen in months and is reportedly not dealing with an injury.

His former tag team partner, Randy Orton, has been booked in a very inconsistent manner, and it has affected his perception among fans. The Viper doesn't seem like a major part of WWE's plans anymore and has not had a meaningful storyline in a year.

Randy Orton has only had filler feuds in 2025

Orton was feuding with Kevin Owens at the end of 2024 and took time off after being hit with a piledriver from The Prizefighter. He returned in time to build up to a match with Owens at WrestleMania, but it had to be scrapped since the Canadian was injured and had to undergo neck surgery.

The former WWE Champion has only had filler feuds since then, with only a brief program with John Cena that lasted till Backlash.

Multiple long breaks have halted his momentum

Orton has been working a reduced schedule in 2025, which is completely understandable. However, having him completely vanish for months on end has taken away his momentum in the company. He doesn't seem to be involved in any storylines right now, and his lack of consistency in terms of consistent booking could be a major problem.

WWE already lacks many top babyfaces, and Triple H misusing one of his biggest stars is not helping the cause.

He has teased the WWE Title feud with Cody Rhodes one too many times

Fans have spotted Randy Orton eyeing Cody Rhodes' WWE Championship one too many times. However, the company has refrained from pulling the trigger on it for months on end, to the point where it now seems like a lost cause.

The teasing has happened on one too many occasions, and fans have lost hope and interest in it. A feud with Randy Orton would have had the perfect setup after the tense finish between the two in the King of the Ring final. However, it all went nowhere, and Orton has been left in an unfortunate position as one of the biggest stars on the roster.
