Triple H doesn't understand what a storyline is; WWE should replace him, says veteran

A veteran has said that WWE should consider replacing Triple H, as he doesn't understand what a storyline is. The sports entertainment giant has been under the cosh from fans for some of its booking decisions with the creative team led by The Game.

Recently, during the All In podcast, WWE's Chief Content Officer said that they don't write a show thinking it would be a great match, but their focus is on building stories.

However, former WWE writer Vince Russo isn't convinced that HHH has any idea of what a storyline is. In a post on X, he called on TKO to take action to replace their current creative personnel.

"If there aren’t talks right now within TKO to replace the entire Old Guard heading @WWECreative—then they deserve everything that is coming their way. This is not personal against H, he is just not qualified for the job. I’m not even sure that he understands WHAT a storyline even is with his current comments," he wrote.

Russo's comments also come after the October 31 episode of WWE SmackDown on the USA Network drew only 933,000 viewers. This marked a significant drop from the 1.147 million viewers recorded a week before that.

Vince Russo has been vocal about the promotion's booking under the Cerebral Assassin, saying WWE won't change under him.

Triple H's actions outside WWE might be hurting them

While the response to Triple H's booking has been mixed, there is another growing concern backstage in WWE.

The former WWE star has made quite a few visits to the White House ever since Donald Trump became president. This has also led to him missing a few shows recently.

According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON), people within WWE believe that HHH's political priorities are starting to hurt the company. However, a source close to The Game dismissed this concern.
