We have an update on star edge rusher Trey Hendrickson and it has to do with a timeline for his decision in free agency.

According to The Athletic's Dianna Russini, Hendrickson is expected to make his decision on his next team on Wednesday.

Russini did not mention who the suitors are, but she did say that several teams are keeping an eye on the market for the former Pro Bowler.

"Free agent pass rusher Trey Hendrickson is expected to make a formal decision tomorrow, per sources. Several teams continue to monitor the market and remain interested. He has offers on the table," Russini reported.

It has been a bit odd to see Hendrickson not come off the board yet, but ESPN's Adam Schefter gave good insight as to why that is the case.

It's pretty simple: Hendrickson's market did not materialize the way he thought it would and offers have come in below what he expected.

In fact, CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones reported that teams that have spoken to the four-time Pro Bowler say there is a $10 million gap between what he wants and what teams are offering.

"As of this morning there were teams I spoke with who said the gap between what he wanted and what they were willing to pay was close to $10M per year," Jones reported.
