The New England Patriots have had an injury concern with running back TreVeyon Henderson all week ahead of the team's Week 17 matchup with the New York Jets.
Henderson suffered a concussion in last week's Patriots' victory over the Baltimore Ravens, which caused the rookie to leave the game early.
In practice this week, Henderson was limited on Wednesday and Thursday before finally logging a full practice on Friday. This led him to be questionable for Sunday's contest.
After a week of being in concussion protocol, leaving his status uncertain for Week 17, we finally know whether Henderson will play versus the Jets.
TreyVeyon Henderson injury update
Henderson has cleared concussion protocol and will play on Sunday, per the team.
"Patriots injury report update: FB Jack Westover (illness) is questionable for NEvsNYJ. RB TreVeyon Henderson has cleared concussion protocol," the Patriots announced on X.
It's great to hear that Henderson will be active against the Jets. The Ohio State product has had a terrific rookie campaign, rushing for 776 yards and seven touchdowns on 5.2 yards per carry. He has also tallied 221 receiving yards and a score.
