The Waste Management Phoenix Open is always a fun event on the PGA Tour, providing a more raucous atmosphere than a typical golf tournament. That includes a Annexus PRo-Am on Wednesday before the tournament, which included a very special guest this year.
With the Kansas City Chiefs not in the Super Bowl for the first time since 2022, tight end Travis Kelce had the chance to play in the Pro-Am this year. Most of the NFL world is in California for Super Bowl week, but Kelce spent his week on the golf course with the best golfers in the world.
Travis Kelce Phoenix Open highlights
Kelce played the first round of his tournament with world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who is the reigning champion in two of the four major tournaments.

The biggest highlight of Kelce's round came on the iconic par-3 16th hole, where he stuck his drive right next the pin on the green. The shot got a huge ovation from the crowd, and also earned him a gold WM chain from the tournament's sponsor, Waste Management.

Before that shot, though, Kelce took the microphone to pump up the fans at the 16th hole, as the hole is known for its electric atmosphere.

Kelce has been able to take his athletic skills onto the golf course, as he does have a low handicap. According to a Golf.com story in 2022, Kelce's handicap is 11, but that could have fluctuated in the past four years.
Kelce has played in many celebrity tournaments over the years. The Chiefs tight end makes frequent appearances at the American Century Championship, a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, along with his brother, Jason.
