“Trailer Park Boys” star Mike Smith has been charged with sexual assault and has since taken a step back from his media company, according to a report.

Smith, best known for playing the quirky “Bubbles” in the Canadian cult-classic mockumentary since 2001, was hit with the charges in Nova Scotia Provincial Court on Oct. 2, the CBC reported.

The 53-year-old allegedly committed the heinous attack in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, on Dec. 30, 2017.

“We are aware of the allegation concerning Mike Smith dating back to 2017 and take such matters seriously,” Trailer Park Boys Inc. told the CBC. “We recognize how difficult an allegation of this nature is for all involved. Out of respect for the legal process, we will not comment further on the case.”

Additional details surrounding the alleged assault were not released in the court documents, according to the outlet.

Smith was ordered not to communicate or visit his alleged victim’s home, work or school.

The actor has since stepped away from the role as managing director at Trailer Park Boys Inc. after the charges were filed.

Smith has been a member of the show’s main trio alongside Robb Wells and John Paul Tremblay since its inception and purchased the franchise’s rights in 2013

Filming of the show’s 13th season wrapped up in August and is expected to air in 2026, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the first season.

Trailer Park Boys Inc. announced there is no intention to cancel or delay the release of the new season — — which airs on Netflix — following the charges against Smith, saying it is “focused on delivering the long-awaited 13th season for our fans.”

Smith was previously arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery on April 1, 2016.

A verbal confrontation between Smith and a woman allegedly turned violent in a bathroom near the pool of the Hotel Roosevelt in Los Angeles.

Witnesses claimed they heard a woman screaming, “you’re choking me,” and found Smith pinning the woman up against a wall.

The actor fled the scene but was later arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Prosecutors dropped the charges, citing a lack of evidence in the case.

Smith is expected in court on Monday to face his new charges.
