It did not take long for college coaches to start courting Bo Bassett once again to join their wrestling program. Just two days ago, Bassett, a top recruit in the Class of 2026, decommited from the University of Iowa.
Now, the Pennsylvania standout is reported to have three teams in the running for his talents.
According to a report by FloWrestling, Penn State, Oklahoma State and Nebraska are the three teams vying for the rights to Bassett, who will be a senior at Bishop McCort High School this fall.
— FloWrestling (@FloWrestling) June 23, 2025Along with capturing state gold, Bassett was the U17 World champion in 2021 and captured bronze at the U20 World event last year. A three-time winner of the Ironman along with being a Powerade and Super 32 champion, Bassett was expected to be the centerpiece for the Hawkeyes and head coach Tom Brands.
However, speculation surrounding Brands and Iowa coaches not allowing him to train at the RTC led to the decommit announcement. Melvin Miller, Bassett's brother and a top prospect in the Class of 2027, cut Iowa from his list of nine schools.
