Top Los Angeles news anchor quits station after 25 years as she teases new role

Longtime Los Angeles news anchor Dunia Elvir is leaving Telemundo 52 after 25 years.

Elvir is stepping away from the newsroom effective immediately to focus on new projects, teasing on her social media she has something new lined up.

The veteran anchor told fans on LinkedIn that she was “better than okay,” saying her departure marked “the beginning of a new chapter.”
