A popular AEW star was involved in a serious incident during his match against Jon Moxley. The latest report revealed the health condition of the star after the dangerous spot.
At the Worlds End 2025 pay-per-view, the top AEW star, Kyle Fletcher squared off against Jon Moxley in one of the semi-finals of this year's Continental Classic. It turned out to be one of the best matches on the show, with some amazing spots and near falls. Moxley quietly turned babyface during the match, and the crowd was behind him as well.
In a dangerous spot from the match that made headlines, Moxley dropped Fletcher on his head from the top rope. The spot garnered a lot of discourse on the internet, and Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer provided an update on Kyle Fletcher's health condition after the dangerous spot during his match with Moxley.
Alvarez reported that The Protostar appears to be fine despite being dropped on his head by Moxley at Worlds End 2025.
Nevertheless, the match continued after the dangerous spot, and at the end of a great match, Moxley defeated Fletcher to advance to the Continental Classic final. Following his loss, Fletcher attacked the Death Riders' leader from behind, which solidified the babyface turn of Moxley.
Jon Moxley became a new champion at AEW Worlds End
Jon Moxley was competing in his second Continental Classic tournament this year after participating in the 2023 edition. After defeating Kyle Fletcher in the semi-final, Moxley squared off against Kazuchika Okada in the final of the tournament.
Following a hard-hitting final match, Moxley managed to defeat Okada to win the 2025 Continental Classic. He also captured the AEW Continental Championship with his win. The Ace also celebrated his win as a babyface along with his Death Riders stablemates.
Only time will tell what's next for Moxley after winning the Continental Classic.
