Tony Awards 2025: Nicole Scherzinger Gets Emotional Sharing How Broadway Changed Her Life
Nicole Scherzinger was changed the moment she turned onto Sunset Boulevard.
At the Tony Awards 2025, the Pussycat Dolls member—who is up for Best Actress in a Musical alongside Boop’s Jasmine Amy Rogers, Death Becomes Her’s Megan Hilty and Jennifer Simard, and Gypsy’s Audra McDonald—emotionally detailed how the Andrew Lloyd Webber show changed her life.
“I always felt like I wasn’t living in my full potential, my full purpose, and I was never happy with myself, never satisfied,” Nicole told E! News’ Keltie Knight outside Radio City Music Hall June 8. “It’s because I knew I had so much more to give, and this role in this opportunity allowed me to give all of me, and it’s changed my life, and I’m so grateful for it.”
Indeed, Nicole, 46, feels as though starring in the show alongside Tom Francis—who is also nominated in the male musical actor category with Maybe Happy Ending’s Darren Criss, Dead Outlaw’s Andrew Durand, Just In Time’s Jonathan Groff, Floyd Collins’ Jeremy Jordan and A Wonderful World: The Louis Armstrong Musical James Monroe Iglehart—helped her learn how to better cultivate relationships.
“I’m so grateful that I’m able to connect with people on a deeper, soulful, spiritual level, that I could make a difference in these people’s lives, because that’s what we do it for,” she explained. “That’s exactly what we do it for. So I’m just so thankful.”
And Nicole emphasized that her faith has also played a role in leading her to a Tony nomination.

“I’m still tired because I just finished a matinee and cried my eyes out in that performance. I’m just grateful,” she added. “I’m grateful to God, because God has carried me when I wanted to give up, and he has held me through this entire process. So I give all the glory to Him. Already. It’s a very been a very healing process for me.”
