The perception around the college football landscape is that the Oregon Ducks are experiencing a cold streak on the recruiting trail.
But that isn't accurate.
The decommitment of Sierra Canyon (California) five-star edge-rusher Richard Wesley was highly-publicized, and misses on five-star quarterbacks Jared Curtis (Georgia) and Ryder Lyons (BYU) fanned the flames.
But Oregon has added Bishop Gorman (Nevada) five-star safety Jett Washington and red-hot Vista Murrieta (California) quarterback Bryson Beaver in the month of June.
That doesn't fit the narrative.
And there are significant rumblings that more help is on the way.
On Monday, the first of those dominoes fell, as former California pledge and Farrington (Hawaii) three-star lineman Koloi Keli flipped to the Ducks.
He may not be alone.
Prediction: Tommy Tofi to Oregon Ducks
Shortly after Keli's announcement, Archbishop Riordan (California) four-star offensive lineman Tommy Tofi tweeted (deleted and re-posted) a decommitment from Cal.

— Tommy Tofi (@TommyTofi) June 30, 2025That news comes roughly three weeks after the nation's No. 6 interior offensive lineman took an official visit to Eugene.
After his early June surprise commitment to Cal, the rumblings began almost immediately that Dan Lanning's program would remain a big-time threat.
That buzz continued into the weekend and gained significant steam - with the now-widely reported decommitment of Tofi as a potential nail in the coffin.
All signs point to Tofi eventually committing to Oregon.
While nothing is set yet in terms of a second commitment, it feels like Tofi could become a Duck sooner rather than later.
And given that he's the nation's No. 97 overall prospect that's big news for Oregon.
Here's what 247Sports had to say about Tofi as prospect:
"Massive two-way lineman who offers a ton of positional versatility. Enormous frame and could easily play nose guard at the college level but is being recruited solely on the offensive line."
"Played predominately left tackle as a junior and shows surprising quickness and agility for a 340-pound lineman. Owns tackle length, huge hands, and a jarring punch. Shows above average balance and lateral mobility as a pass protector. Smashmouth run blocker. Manhandles opposing defensive ends and tackles at the point of attack and plays with the kind of mean streak and nastiness."
"Boasts a rare combination of size, fluidity, and the ability to finish. Still growing as a player and trending up, having leaned out his body and gained athleticism over the past couple of years. Possesses as much upside as any offensive lineman out west with the potential to become an NFL Draft pick."
