Caitlin Clark and Liberty's leadership group, including coach Sandy Brondello and stars Sabrina Ionescu and Breanna Stewart, sent WNBA Twitter into a frenzy on Wednesday. Clark was spotted chatting with the Liberty trio in the tunnel after New York's 98-77 win over the Indiana Fever.
The superstar guard didn't suit up after reaggravating her groin injury on Tuesday against the Sun. Nevertheless, she made the trip to New York. After the game ended, Clark and her agent, Erin Kane, were in the tunnel area with Brondello, Ionescu and Stewart.
After looking at the picture in which Clark was all smiles, several WNBA fans envisioned a world where the Fever star ends up on the New York Liberty.
Claek has had dust-ups with players from different teams, so it was a welcome sight for her fans to see the 2024 Rookie of the Year comfortable around an opposing team.
Here's how fans reacted to this meet-up:
Told yall she’s eyeing the Liberty.
That’s her freaking agent, Kane it looks like as well.

NEW YORK SENT THE BLITZ SANDY, SAB, AND STEWIE ARE ALL TALKING TO CAITLIN IN THE TUNNEL
Caitlin Clark wanted full Liberty union on All-Star team but trade for Breanna Stewart failed
Caitlin Clark made major moves and nearly landed the full New York Liberty team on her All-Star roster during the draft. She successfully traded for coach Sandy Brondello, with opposing captain Napheesa Collier happy to reunite with Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve. Clark also picked Sabrina Ionescu as her backcourt running mate.
She could have had Stewart, too. However, Napheesa Collier's trade pitch to involve Aliyah Boston was swiftly declined by Clark, who wanted to select her Fever teammates. Collier picked Stewart first, so Clark couldn't unite Brondello with both her star players. Nevertheless, Clark will get a chance to team up with Ionescu and work under Brondello.
Brondello is looking forward to coaching the Fever sensation.
"Excited to get to know her a little bit ... Being able to coach players you've never coached before," Brondello said.It remains to be seen if Clark can play in Saturday's anticipated clash on her home court. She's dealing with a groin injury and missed Wednesday's loss against the Liberty.
