“Today” show co-host Sheinelle Jones’ husband, Uche Ojeh, has died following a long battle with cancer. He was 45.

Her colleagues announced the news on air Friday morning amid Jones’ extended absence from the NBC talk show.

“With profound sadness, we share this morning that Uche Ojeh has passed away after a courageous battle with an aggressive form of cancer,” Savannah Guthrie said through tears.

“There are no words for the pain we feel for Sheinelle and her three young children,” she continued. “Uche was an incredible person, and we all loved him.”

Multiple sources told Page Six that Ojeh put up a brave fight against the disease.

Jones, 47, and Ojeh tied the knot in 2007 after reportedly meeting at Northwestern University.

They share three children: son Kayin, 15, and twins Clara and Uche, 12.

Jones has been absent from the “Today” show since December 2024.

She shared a brief update with fans on Instagram in January, explaining she was dealing with a “family health matter.”

“It’s not lost on me how lucky I am to have not only the support of my ‘Today’ show family, but also to have you,” the news anchor added.

“Your kindness means so much to me. I’ll see you soon.”

In April, Jones’ “Today 3rd Hour” co-hosts Craig Melvin, Al Roker and Dylan Dreyer confirmed they had been in touch with her during the difficult time.

“I just talked to her a couple of days ago, [and] as you know, she’s taking some time to be with her family, and we talk to her all the time,” Melvin told “Access Hollywood” at the time.

Roker added that they were “praying for her.”
