7.41 Windsor - Law Court and City Of Poets head the field
Law Court and City Of Poets clash with an in-form trio in the RIP Susan Procter Memorial Handicap.
City Of Poets was building a progressive profile before slightly disappointing in the Coral Challenge on Eclipse day last month. He was partially hampered that day and the form of that race is very strong, so the drop back in class and step up in trip may see James Tate's representative bounce back to form.
A similar angle applies to Law Court, who ran on in a slowly-run competitive mile handicap at Glorious Goodwood and will certainly hold strong claims up in trip. His previous two showings at Sandown, which included a victory on Brigadier Gerard night, would give backers confidence going into this assignment.
In-form trio A Major Payne, Bold Impact and Parlando all won nicely last time out and remain on potentially handy marks, with the first runner winning in particularly taking fashion over the course and distance. That performance suggests the rise in class should not prevent him from staking a bold claim under Billy Loughnane, who is chasing his maiden jockeys' championship crown.
King's Code cannot be ruled out back down in class considering his Chester success last month, as Auld Toon Loon returns to his last winning mark over course and distance last August after finishing a creditable eighth in the John Smith's Cup.
Box To Box may find it tough on firmer ground after 11 months off the track, although he does remain on a competitive mark.
7.11 Windsor - Waterford Castle opposes Amo's expensive recruit
The highly-tried Waterford Castle pitches himself in calmer waters, facing Amo Racing's Partying - who was bought for 4.4m guineas - in the Matchbook Betting Exchange Supporting UK Racing Maiden Stakes.
The George Boughey-trained Waterford Castle is the only horse in here with a rating and comes to Windsor a 10-race maiden. The base form would suggest he is not very good but he has arguably just bumped into quite a few nice types in ultra-competitive races thus far.
His first two starts this year resulted in being turned over at odds-on, but the winner of the second contest won a valuable race at Sandown subsequently. This gelding finished second behind future Shergar Cup winner Archers Bay and managed to finish in mid-division in Royal Ascot's King George V Stakes - which reads very well given the winner Enceladus has since won a Group Three and the second Al Azd bolted up at Ascot next time out (earning a rating of 109).
The fly in the ointment could be Partying. This Frankel filly out of Aljazzi is an unknown quantity and should be watched in the market on debut. Of the others, Thatcham could be of interest returning from a break. Richard Hannon's charge was never in the race at Southwell the last day but could fare better on turf with Pat Dobbs booked.
7.28 Lingfield - Shangri La opposes Neswick
Shangri La opposes the eye-catching Neswick in Lingfield's Become a Friend of Racing Welfare Fillies' Novice Stakes.
The Kirsten Rausing-owned three-year-old bids to break her maiden tag following a creditable reappearance at Wolverhampton, where she placed fifth on handicap debut. This daughter of St Mark's Basilica could benefit from the step down in trip with Callum Shepherd in the plate. Her breeding suggests she will both do better at middle distances and develop with age and she sets the standard, dropping back into a novice.
The John and Thady Gosden-trained Dove Tale improved on her first start at three just a week ago, managing to place under Rab Havlin at Kempton. A half-sister to German Derby runner-up Diamond Dove, this filly could have more to offer.
Despite Neswick's modest pedigree, she shaped extremely well over course and distance on debut and can provide stiff opposition, especially if coming on for the run.

Remaining at Lingfield, Kaaranah seeks a hat-trick in the opening Free Tips On attheraces.com Handicap (5.23pm). John Butler's charge has been nudged up 4lb to a mark of 74 but could go in again up against the likes of Alice De Clare and Barbury Boy.
At Windsor, the well-handicapped Great Chieftain aims to get back on track up against Colourband in the Matchbook Loves Racing Handicap (6.41pm) before Mythological Star looks to record a third consecutive win in the Classic Golden Music Group 10th Anniversary Handicap following a success at the track on Monday.
