It's time for NFL fans to get their first look at Fernando Mendoza in a Raiders uniform.
Months after winning the Heisman Trophy en route to leading Indiana to a national championship, the top overall draft pick is set to make his preseason debut Thursday as Las Vegas hosts Arizona.
While Kirk Cousins remains the presumptive Week 1 starter for the Raiders, all eyes will be on Mendoza in August as he steps up to the next level. He can only hope his preseason bow goes as well as Carson Beck's. The 2026 third-round pick got the start for Arizona in last week's Hall of Fame Game and completed 15 of 19 passes for 188 yards and a TD.
After resting most of their starters and veterans against the Panthers, the Cardinals plan to play everyone in this one, including starting QB Jacoby Brissett and rookie running back Jeremiyah Love.
With the likes of Mendoza and Love taking center stage, this game figures to draw more interest than the typical preseason matchup. Here's when and where to watch.
