Don’t look down.

Timothée Chalamet and his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, suffered an “embarrassing” and “awkward” moment at the 70th David di Donatello Awards in Rome on Wednesday after making their couple debut on the red carpet.

Jenner, 27, first linked to Chalamet, 29, in 2023, looked proud to be by the actor’s side at the lavish Italian awards show, where he was honored with the David for Cinematic Excellence.

The Kylie Cosmetics founder stunned in a chic, long and black Schiaparelli gown with a low-cut, swooped neckline.

Wearing her hair slicked back and in a tight bun, Jenner appeared happy to be her boyfriend’s plus one — until he accidentally gilded her on live television.

The awkward encounter with Jenner happened when it came time for Chalamet to jump on the stage and collect his award.

As the audience applauded with all eyes on him, the actor came close to his famous girlfriend for a congratulatory kiss.

However, when Jenner came in for round two, leaping toward Chalamet’s mouth, the star had already moved on to collect praise from the people sitting behind them.

The “Dune” actor left Jenner and her famous lips hanging — and the flub was caught by cameras, with the makeup mogul sinking back into her chair as he made his way to the podium.

“Ah the kiss pull away moment is so embarrassing for her,” one person reacted on social media.

“No chemistry whatsoever. And he can’t even fake it,” another wrote about the couple. “Literally and forced to kiss her, and the fact he rejected the second kiss lmaoooo,” added a third, while someone else commented, “Did she really think he would kiss her spontaneously? She was upset about the second missed kiss poor star.”

Chalamet was honored with the prestigious award for his filmography, with The Sun reporting the honor was mainly focused on his 2024 successes, like “Dune: Part Two” and his award-winning role as Bob Dylan in “A Complete Unknown.”

While social media is still reeling from the kiss snub seen around the world, Chalamet and Jenner appeared unaffected by the fumble.

The couple continued to pack on the PDA inside the award show, looking more loved up than ever, with their carpet debut taking the world by storm — but not “Snow White” star Rachel Zegler.

The actress appeared to mock Chalamet’s fans after the pair walked the red carpet.

This wasn’t the first award show they’ve attended together.

Jenner accompanied her man to the Golden Globes, Oscars, and BAFTAs during the 2025 award season, with Chalamet nominated for best actor at every show.

Despite all the nominations for “A Complete Unknown,” the actor only walked away with the SAG award. Jenner was not there to cheer him on in person.

The pair doesn’t mind showing PDA, but they rarely speak about their relationship.

Chalamet expressed the importance of his privacy to GQ in 2023.

When questioned how he can be private, considering his and Jenner’s fandoms, he brought up a “South Park” episode.

“This reminds me of that recent ‘South Park’ episode with the Worldwide Privacy Tour,” Chalamet said, referencing the animated comedy parodying Prince Harry and Meghan Markle demanding their privacy while in the public eye.

The actor admitted that not everyone respects or understands his wishes.

“Sometimes, people are going to be hella confused when you say you’re trying to live a private life,” he added.
