The Minnesota Timberwolves' search for a point guard continues.
The answer may wind up being Chicago Bulls playmaker Coby White if the recent trade rumors have legs to them.
White is a talented player who can shoot it well from 3-point range.
He's also on an expiring contract, which makes him more movable.
NBA insider Jake Weinbach revealed in a post on X what the offer may be for White:
"The Timberwolves pursuing Coby White with an offer around Mike Conley, Terrence Shannon Jr., and multiple second-round picks is a deadline deal worth monitoring. Minnesota and Chicago have reportedly remained in contact as the Wolves search the marketplace for a combo guard."

Chicago fans are wondering why that offer makes sense.
The reality is, if the Bulls aren't going to re-sign White, then they really should just take what they can get.
A few draft picks, and an intriguing young player in Shannon, add more future value than losing White for nothing.
Conley lost his starting spot in Minnesota and would mostly serve to match salaries here. The lefty point guard isn't the player he once was.
Chicago, again seemingly just chasing a play-in spot, could do with a look toward the future.
The Timberwolves could certainly benefit from a point guard like White.
