Denver weather forecast brings winter to Broncos-Patriots AFC Championship Game

1 hour ago 3

The Denver Broncos host the New England Patriots for Sunday's AFC Championship Game.

It's a day when much of the country is expected to get pummeled with snow.

Denver, though, is further west than the storm. So that's being avoided.

It doesn't mean this big game has avoided winter, though.

Broncos vs. Patriots weather forecast

Those waking up in Denver on Sunday morning get to experience some single-digit temperatures as they prepare for their day.

By the 1 p.m. local time kickoff, the temperature is expected to be around 23 degrees, according to Accuweather.

The wind chill will drop things double-digit degrees, though, with a listed real feel temperature at 1 p.m. local time of 12 degrees.

Wind gusts at that point in time are expected up to about 15 miles per hour.

There is a 47% chance of precipitation (snow) listed at kickoff.

The chance of precipitation rises to 56%, in slow increments, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The real feel temperature drops precipitously, as well.

By 4 p.m. local time, about when the game would be expected to finish, the real feel temperature is down to a predicted 0 degrees.

Bring those hand warmers, for sure.
