THROWBACK: Watch the awesome Muay Thai firefight between ‘Smokin’ Jo Nattawut and Luke Lessei

Veteran Thai fighter 'Smokin' Jo Nattawut had an engaging Muay Thai clash with Luke Lessei of the United States two years ago, with the former showcasing his topnotch skills that made him one of the top strikers in the game.

The two clashed at ONE Fight Night 17 on Dec. 8, 2023, at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, in a featherweight Muay Thai clash that saw both fighters go all-out and take the match to one another.

Nattawut came out aggressively in the opening round of the showdown and had early success, connecting with telling strikes. Lessei, though, countered with solid elbow strikes that also found their target.

In the second round, they got it going at the onset, having fiery exchanges as they looked to swing the tide in their favor. Nattawut managed to make major inroads, steadily breaking down 'The Chef' with clean hits to the head and body.

He even went close to scoring a stoppage win in the third round but eventually the contest went the distance, with the Thai Top Team standout settling for a decision victory.

The victory halted a three-fight slide for Jo Nattawut at that time, including a defeat to fellow Thai fighter and now ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai.

Jo Nattawut returns to action this week at ONE Friday Fights 137

Jo Nattawut plunges back into action this week, taking on Mohammad Siasarani of Iran in a featherweight Muay Thai match.

The fight is part of ONE Friday Fights 137: Tawanchai vs. Liu on Dec. 19 at Bangkok's Lumpinee Stadium. It will be Nattawut's first fight back since his last outing in January this year, where he absorbed an opening-round TKO loss at the hands of French-Malian fighter Bampara Kouyate.

Looking to continue to frustrate 'Smokin' Jo in the fight is Siasarani, winner of his last three matches, with his recent victory coming in August over Polish striker Oskar Siegert by decision in a kickboxing clash.
