Wayfare Studios' upcoming biopic, featuring Ansel Elgort and Thomasin McKenzie, Dinner With Audrey, will dive into the glamorous, decades-long friendship between cinema icon Audrey Hepburn and legendary French fashion designer Count Hubert de Givenchy.
Hyde Park Entertainment and Mad Chance Productions are also involved in the upcoming project, which will star McKenzie (known for Jojo Rabbit and Last Night in Soho) as Hepburn and Elgort (West Side Story, Tokyo Vice) as de Givenchy.
Directed by Abe Sylvia, Dinner With Aubrey will focus on one fashion-filled night in Paris, where a pivotal dinner sparked a 40-year collaboration between the designer de Givenchy and the British actress Aubrey Hepburn. The film's release date and synopsis are still awaited.
Through their collaboration, de Givenchy handled Hepburn's wardrobe for iconic films including Breakfast at Tiffany's, Funny Face, and Sabrina. He even designed the dress she wore to win the 1954 Best Actress Oscar for Roman Holiday.

Ansel Elgort is known for playing many titular characters.
His performance in Baby Driver (2017) earned him a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actor. He also appeared as Tony in Steven Spielberg's musical West Side Story (2021) and led the popular crime series Tokyo Vice. However, Elgort’s career trajectory was challenged in June 2020 when a woman, known publicly as Gabby, made an online accusation of sexual assault.
Ansel Elgort issued a statement shortly thereafter, denying the assault claim. The allegations were never substantiated in a court of law, and no criminal charges were ever filed. In response to the assault claim, the Tokyo Vice star released the following statement in a post made via social media:
“I have never and would never assault anyone. What is true is that in New York in 2014, when I was 20, Gabby and I had a brief, legal and entirely consensual relationship. Unfortunately, I did not handle the breakup well. I stopped responding to her, which is an immature and cruel thing to do to someone."Two years after these allegations, Ansel Elgort split up from his longtime girlfriend, Violetta Komyshan, with whom he had been for 10 years since their time in high school. After his lead role in West Side Story as Tony (2021), Elgort is returning to the big screen with Dinner With Aubrey.
The feature film aims to capture the glamorous, decades-long friendship between cinema legend Audrey Hepburn and French designer Count Hubert de Givenchy, with the production being a collaborative effort backed by Wayfarer Studios, Hyde Park Entertainment, and Mad Chance Productions.
Key producers include Ashok Armitraj and Priya Amritraj through Hyde Park, alongside Andrew Lazar from Mad Chance and Andrew Calof from Wayfarer Studios.
