There's no way Connor McDavid actually did this.
There might not be another hockey player on the planet who would think to try this pass.
But the Edmonton Oilers superstar didn't just try the craziest pass you'll see this entire NHL season. He connected.
Waiting on the other end was Vasily Podkolzin. And he had the easiest tap-in of his life.
And even after he had scored Podkolzin couldn't quite believe it had happened.

— B/R Open Ice (@BR_OpenIce) January 19, 2026That dude is diving on the ice and spinning away from the play and puts it on a silver platter. Unbelievable.
It was his second assist of the night to put the Oilers up 5-0 in a dominant showing against the St. Louis Blues.
Really, a pretty tame night at the office for the best hockey player in the world.
But it's one of those highlights that will stay on his reel for a long time.
McDavid is known for his power, his speed, his precision, basically everything. But he also has that ability to see the game and the ice in a way no other player does.
There's no greater example of that than this moment.
