Former Buffalo Bills executive Jim Monos believes that the team should part ways with Keon Coleman. On Thursday's episode of the "Go Long" podcast, he highlighted the second-year wide receiver's disciplinary issues and said that the team doesn't require his services on the field to succeed.

"They should just cut Keon Coleman," Monos said. "It would be one of the ultimate messages sent. They just had their best. that game (against the Bucs) was so sick on offense. They don't need Keon Coleman. That was against a real defense, too. Tampa is a big-time defense." "You can't even walk through the locker room and look those guys in the eye. You're not showing up on time as a rookie? You're joining an elite football team. You should be so fortunate you were drafted by the Buffalo Bills. You get to play with a generational quarterback. Late to a meeting? Cut. There is no way you should let him on your team. That's so disrespectful to Josh Allen."

According to reports, Coleman was late to a team meeting last Friday. This was the second instance of the wide receiver having a disciplinary issue. Thus, as a repercussion, coach Sean McDermott and the Bills decided to bench him as a healthy scratch during their 44-32 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Sunday.

The Bills drafted Coleman with the 33rd overall pick in last year's draft. This season, he has tallied 330 yards and three touchdowns receiving in nine games.

Bills star Dion Dawkins has a brutally honest message for Keon Coleman

After Sunday's victory over the Buccaneers, Bills lineman Dion Dawkins spoke about Coleman being benched as a disciplinary measure.

He highlighted how the wide receiver had to work on polishing his work ethic and mature into a professional player in the NFL.

"I already spoke to him," Dawkins said. "I spoke to Keon before the game and I told him, I said, 'Look, don't even worry about it. Everybody goes through a different journey. Let's just say this is the last time.' "That's all we need right? Nobody's perfect. But in this league, we need guys to come on. And Keon knows, right? Now he's on the hot seat and he needs to come up and show up for us. ... It's time for him to grow up and he knows it. As an older player on the team, we hold everybody accountable. ... We don't sugarcoat it. And words were said to him and he took it well."

Keon Coleman also admitted his mistake and vowed to improve himself in the future. However, the Bills decided to list him as a healthy scratch for the second straight game during Thursday's showdown against the Houston Texans.
