Post Sports+’s annual exercise of breaking down the offseason roster into three categories — locks, bubble players and longshots — reveals there could be as few as 12 spots up for grabs during camp, which begins when 91 players report on Tuesday.
Sure, there could be injuries and other forms of roster movement that open up another spot or two, but it’s going to be a tight squeeze to get onto the 53-man roster because of all the draft picks and free-agent additions who have secured places.
