‘The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives’ Season 2 Finale’s Shocking Plot Twist Outs [SPOILER’S] Alleged Affair With A Fellow Reality Star

We need to talk about those final few moments of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 2.

Warning: this article contains spoilers for Season 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Read at your own risk.

Before Jen Affleck left the show to focus on her mental health, she tossed around a suggestion that something more might’ve happened between Demi Engemann and Vanderpump Villa star Marciano Brunette when they met at Lisa Vanderpump‘s castle in Italy last summer.

In Vanderpump Villa Season 2, Brunette put the charm on Engemann, but we don’t see much more than some flirtatious banter and a poolside heart to heart that ends in a warm embrace and Brunette kissing the side of Engemann’s head. However, they’ve since been in a social media war, with Engemann claiming he sexually assaulted her and Brunette calling out an unnamed Mormon wife for getting him uninvited to a Hulu event because she didn’t want her husband to learn the truth.

We all assumed he was referring to Engemann, given their interaction in Italy. Plus, Affleck’s husband reveals in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 2 that Engemann had sent a cease and desist letter after Affleck vaguely brought up the matter. But when Layla Taylor decides to get to the bottom of things by meeting up with Brunette in person, he drops the plot twist we never saw coming.

First, we have to rewind.

Earlier in the season, Jessi Ngatikaura addressed an online rumor that she was seen making out with Brunette at Vanderpump’s TomTom restaurant in Los Angeles. While Ngatikaura — whose husband Jordan had a bigger role this season — shut down the accusations, Brunette confirmed to Taylor that not only were they making out, but they’ve also allegedly had sex.

“It’s not like this was just some freaking one-night stand,” Brunette says, to which a stunned Taylor replies, “No, it’s full-blown fucking affair.”

According to Brunette, Ngatikaura’s husband “doesn’t know the truth about how extensive it was.” He also claims they’ve “tried meeting up” on other occasions to continue their alleged affair.

Whether this is true remains to be seen, but if it is then messy Jessi just got a whole lot messier. In a brief teaser for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 3, Ngatikaura appears to deny Brunette’s claim, while Jordan suggests it was all Engemann’s doing (perhaps as retaliation for voting her out of MomTok after many episodes of mean-girl behavior).

We’ll just have to wait and see how it all unfolds when Season 3 comes out!

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 2 is currently streaming on Hulu.
