The Rock's WWE absence is still a mystery to many, but one legend thinks that a popular faction needs to be in the Hall of Fame and explained the reason behind it. The legend is none other than D'Lo Brown.
The Nation of Domination became an iconic faction in the Stamford-based promotion for years to come. While The Rock was not a founding member, Johnson and other stable members became household names in the industry and reached new heights in the company as performers.
The stable eventually ended, but their work lived on, and D'Lo Brown thinks they deserve a spot in the Hall of Fame. In an interview on The Velvet Ropes with SoCal Val, the 52-year-old WWE and TNA Wrestling legend explained why the group deserves a spot in WWE's Hall of Fame.
"Here's my thing. I believe, not just because I'm part of the Nation. If I wasn't part of the Nation, I would say the Nation deserves being a Hall of Fame. If you look at what a faction does, usually, a faction is to elevate one person out of the group, i.e. Flair with the Horsemen. The thing with the Nation was every member, and we think about the core unit of Rocky, Mark, Godfather, Ron, and myself... every one of us got better after being in the Nation," Brown said.Secret reason behind John Cena's massive win - Watch Here!
He added:
"So that shows what kind of foundation the Nation gave all of us. And it lifted us all up. And then for the fact that the Nation should be in the Hall of Fame, because 30 years later, anytime you put a faction of two or three black guys together, people are already calling it the new Nation. That tells you its footprint in wrestling. And just for that mere fact alone, it should be represented in the Hall of Fame with the other great acts of the last 100 years," Brown said. The Rock's absence was not well explained by the management or by The Final Boss when he disappeared from the weekly product following WWE Elimination Chamber in Toronto. While the build to WrestleMania 41 became lackluster due to the multi-time world champion's absence, the company continued its storyline with John Cena.
A few months ago, WWE officially confirmed that WrestleMania 43 will take place in Saudi Arabia in 2027, and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON) reported that The Rock was in demand for the event, and a deal was reportedly being finalized.
The 53-year-old veteran could also return sooner than expected in 2026, heading into WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas. It'll be interesting to see when The Final Boss decides to return to the Stamford-based promotion.
