After winning the Last Box Match in Culinary Class Wars season 2 episode 7, Culinary Monster moved ahead into Round Four and selected Son Jong-won for the Top Seven playoff. At this stage, seven paired stations appeared, meaning two chefs had to function as one unit.
Before cooking began, both were given planning time. So, instead of rough ideas, Son drafted a strict minute-based schedule. The layout showed clear time blocks. In it, tasting, dividing portions, plating, and final cleaning were each timed carefully. Fans reacted to Son's precision, praising how the Michelin-star chef planned every second.
"My man does all of this and they said he is gone next week after losing the battle tf what kind of spoiler is that 😭😭😭😭 #CulinaryClassWarsS2 #CulinaryClassWars2 *but anyway he is basically like a main character from a comic book, his viral era officially started now*," an X user commented. Many viewers appreciate his approach and meticulous planning, noting his attention to detail.
Totally sexy man with sexy mind, son jongwon. He even give solution and stay calm even when things didn't go as planned.. He didn't scold/disappointed at culinary monster for the failed wrap, instead he think way to fix it.

Culinary Class Wars season 2 spoiler slip sparks controversy over Son Jong-won's alleged elimination
An editing-related spoiler involving the Black Spoon chef, Culinary Monster, appeared online in Netflix’s Culinary Class Wars season 2. Episode ten, released on December 30th, featured the one-on-one elimination matches. This comes after Culinary Monster formed a two-person team with Son Jong-won during the Top Seven Playoff.
Culinary Monster gained the advantage to select the alliance after winning the Last Box Match alongside Brewmaster Yun among the seven other chefs. However, soon after, despite the pair surviving the challenge, they were put against each other in a one-on-one life-or-death match.
In the second challenge of round four, while all other pairs had their fates decided (with one surviving and the other eliminated), the result between Son Jong-won and Culinary Monster remained unresolved as the episode concluded.
Paik Jong-won leaned toward Son Jong-won, while Ahn Sung-jae hesitated, stating that the margin felt minimal. This way, the episode ended without confirmation. Soon after, spoilers spread online. Claims suggested that Son Jong-won was eliminated while Culinary Monster advanced.
This is because episode 9 fueled the theory when Culinary Monster's uniform briefly displayed the name Lee Ha-sung instead of the nickname. Viewers recalled season one, when finalist Naples Mafia appeared under the real name Kwon Sung-jun in later rounds. Notably, the Black Spoons only go by their aliases until they reach the finale.
Culinary Class Wars season 2 drew 4.7 million views between December 22 and 28. It held first place globally for two weeks, with total views crossing 10.2 million. It also topped regional charts in South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
