Team Canada plays its Olympic men's hockey semifinal Friday against Finland.
Sidney Crosby's injury may keep him out.
The latest news isn't good. This is what TSN's Ryan Rishaug posted on X on Thursday:
"Sounds like Crosby may go for a quick skate tomorrow morning to see where things are at but is unlikely to play against Finland. If he can’t Suzuki likely to slide into his spot as he did in the 1/4 finals."
Those words, "unlikely to play," can't be what Canadian fans want to hear.

Nick Suzuki getting more ice time will feel validating in a sense after he scored the heroic tying goal late in overtime against Czechia.
At the same time, no one in Canada wants Crosby to miss the game.
He left the quarterfinal early in the second period with what was eventually announced as a lower-body injury. It appeared to be some sort of injury to his right leg.
Canada hasn't ruled Crosby out, so there's still a bit of hope, but the latest reporting isn't ideal.
Crosby also was a part of Canada's top powerplay unit. If he sits, Macklin Celebrini likely slides into that group.

Finland is a formidable opponent. They have a lot of NHL star power, and they won their own overtime quarterfinal.
Without Crosby, Canada still has a great chance to win. But it means they don't have their captain and an all-time great, so that wouldn't be anyone's preference.
