The second half of The First Descendant’s Season 3 will introduce a new playable character, Harris. After surviving Karel’s abduction of the entire Albion upper management, she’s also among the first NPCs to unlock Arche and join the roster of playable characters. Before Harris, Nell became a Descendant during the first half of S3.
Apart from unlocking Arche, she also received a glow-up and a new pair of mechanical arms that are a core part of her abilities. Here’s everything we know about Harris in The First Descendant.
The First Descendant Harris abilities explained
Harris is a Toxic-based Descendant with crowd control and defensive skills that can make her a decent mobbing unit.

Internal Toxin Control (Passive)

It grants damage reduction and cooldown decrease if Toxin levels are below 30%. Maintaining that between 30% and 70% will increase HP and DEF while retaining the previous benefits.
Finally, if you’re keeping Toxin levels over 70%, it will send Harris into an overload to grant Melee ATK and skill power increases. Note that you won’t have HP and DEF while in the overload state.

Punch your way through hordes of enemies (Image via Nexon)Press the keybind to dash forward and punch enemies with the mechanical arms (NOVA) to create shockwaves. It can perform a three-hit combo with each consecutive punch dealing more damage. Additionally, the enemies you hit will also get ‘Towed’.
The Towed effect pulls enemies closer despite the punch creating an AoE shockwave. This secondary effect complements Harris's other abilities well, as they also deal area damage, allowing for better crowd control during missions.

The ability is very similar to Ajax’s Void Walk, where he leaps into the air and slams the ground.
Pressing the button while mid-air allows you to accelerate and change directions, which comes in handy for striking enemies far away. Hitting them will grant a Protective Barrier based on HP, while also stunning anyone in the AoE for a few seconds.
Designate Danger Zone (ability 3)

This skill needs the custom resource Toxin to activate and will continuously deplete reserves. During this time, you’ll gain increased movement speed, allowing you to cover more distance.
You can use other abilities to generate Toxin while Designate Danger Zone is active. With proper investment, you can have the ability to be active indefinitely as a passive way of dealing damage.

The laser can take out all regular mobs in a single hit (Image via Nexon)If you’re feeling like pressing too many buttons, the fourth ability will shoot out lasers to blast enemies. The skill has a big damage multiplier, which can make this a nuke ability. Enemies left standing will be inflicted with Toxic Contamination, a debuff that makes them vulnerable to melee damage.
Additionally, hitting enemies with Waste Disposal also increases DEF for a few seconds. There’s a maximum number of targets in the skill, which suggests that the increase is based on the number of enemies hit by the laser.
