The Winter Olympics have already generated headlines for running out of condoms in the Olympic Village.
Now, the latest news is about the solution to the problem.
According to The Daily Express, Olympians are purchasing the now-rare commodity for up to $124 on online websites, with Vinted cited as an example of the marketplace.
It's a classic economic example of supply versus demand.
Clearly, the demand was there. The Village supplied 10,000 condoms initially, and they ran out in three days.
Reports have indicated that more were ordered, but that's not an instantaneous fix.
So athletes were seeking out other means for their protection.

The Daily Express also cited an Olympics spokesperson mentioning that Valentine's Day falling during the competition hasn't helped keep things in check, either.
At this point, these kinds of Olympics headlines are annual endeavors. It seems like the organizers could've avoided some of the attention by simply ordering more to begin with.
The Paris Olympics reportedly had 300,000 condoms available in the Olympic Village. That's a few more than 10,000.
This cycle's Olympic Village has 1,400 beds. There are fewer athletes who compete in the Winter Games than in the Summer edition, but there are still a lot of athletes in close quarters for a few weeks.
Almost all the athletes stay in the village, although the Canadian men's hockey team has apparently left to stay in a hotel instead.
The Olympics are now into their final week, although there's still lots of competition left to go, with plenty of high-profile gold medals on the line.
The Closing Ceremonies are scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 22.
The final day of these Olympics includes the gold medal matches for women's curling and men's ice hockey, as well as the 4-man bobsled competition and women's 50-kilometer cross-country skiing.
Lots of action still remains in Milan.
