Texans QB C.J. Stroud says favorable officiating towards Chiefs is something everyone is aware of

It's unfortunate that all anyone can talk about after a playoff game is the one-sided officiating, but that's exactly what is taking place. The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Houston Texans 23-14 to open the divisional round of the NFL playoffs, but the focus was on several calls that were iffy at best, and clear favors at most.

A roughing the passer call extended a Chiefs drive and helped them get three points, and an unnecessary roughness call following a Patrick Mahomes slide added flames to the fire. Quarterback C.J. Stroud was asked about the officiating after the game, to which he said it's something that everyone is aware of when they play the Chiefs.

"[It's] one of those things [where] you know what's up before you walk into the arena," Stroud said. "I can't argue with the ref and at the same time play football. I've got to go do my job."

The Texans were called for eight penalties while the Chiefs were called for only four.
