Texans general manager has bad news for the rest of the NFL

Houston Texans General Manager Nick Caserio recently shared his thoughts on quarterback C.J. Stroud's offseason progress during an interview on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams. Caserio expressed strong confidence in Stroud's development, stating, "He's very convicted, he's very prideful, he cares a lot about winning ... he wants to go out there and perform well on a weekly basis," while highlighting the quarterback's commitment to improving his game.

Stroud, entering his third NFL season, has already led the Texans to back-to-back AFC South titles and playoff victories in each of his first two years. Despite a slight dip in his sophomore season statistics — throwing for 3,727 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions — Stroud's leadership and potential remain evident.

To support Stroud's continued growth, the Texans have made strategic offseason moves, including strengthening the offensive line with the addition of Minnesota's Aireontae Ersery and reinforcing the receiving corps with Iowa State's Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel.  Caserio emphasized the importance of competition and versatility within the team, stating, "We feel like there's going to be really good competition amongst that group."

With these changes and Stroud's dedication, the Texans are set for a strong 2025 season. As Caserio puts it, the team's focus is on continuous improvement, and Stroud's trajectory suggests a significant leap could be on the horizon.
