Lakers-Wolves 4th quarter box score tells you everything you need to know

The Los Angeles Lakers playoff run came to an end with a 103-96 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night. Minnesota got the series win, 4-1, as the Luka Doncic-LeBron James duo couldn't muster up enough in the postseason.

It wasn't what many expected, especially with the Lakers coming in as the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference. But, Rudy Gobert and Anthony Edwards played at a high level on the big stage.

The Lakers made a bit of a comeback with a 31-point third quarter, but the fourth quarter was a much different story. How different? Well, the Lakers scored just 16 points in the final 12 minutes of the game.

The fourth-quarter box score made things look even worse for LA. Julius Randle, the former Laker, had 11 points. James, Doncic and Austin Reaves combined for just 11 points in the entire fourth quarter.

The Lakers as a team made six field goals in the final 12 minutes and attempted just two free throws. On the other hand, the Timberwolves attempted 12 free throws and had six different players score points.

That isn't good whatsoever, especially with the expectations that swirled around this team entering the postseason.

Now, the Timberwolves advance to the next round, and the Lakers will be missing out on another deep playoff run in heartbreaking fashion.
