Terrifying video shows Louisiana utility worker dangling from fiery bucket truck before falling

Dramatic footage shows a Louisiana utility worker dangling precariously on his harness from a fiery bucket truck before he plummeted to the ground.

The unidentified man was flailing high above the road, hanging from the flamed-engulfed cherry picker as growing flames from the truck spit out thick, black smoke below on Tuesday, the video shows.

The worker was fighting for his life after his truck burst into flames.

His coworkers on the Baton Rouge street can be seen frantically scrambling to try and help him to safety.

After the man fell, he was rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries, according to WAFB.

The fire is believed to have been caused by a mechanical failure in the truck, according to fire officials.
