Teddi Mellencamp bravely showcased her brain surgery scars as she continues to battle stage 4 cancer.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum posted a picture of her shaved head via Instagram Thursday, revealing the surgery scars from her emergency brain surgery last year.
Also in the carousel, she posted a snap of her signature long, blond hair — a stark contrast from the vulnerable photo.
Mellencamp was first diagnosed with melanoma in 2022, which later metastasized to her lungs and brain.
The Bravolebrity revealed her cancer was “gone” last October, but is not officially considered in remission by doctors.
Since then, her hair has begun to grow back so it is too long to wear wigs, which is why the Bravolebrity took to social media to ask her followers for advice and share her hair growth journey.
“This is a question for all my cancer friends out there,” the 44-year-old began in an Instagram Reel in the carousel. “You guys have been so much help and given me amazing referrals for great wigs that I’ve been using for the past however many months.”
“But my question now is, now what?” she said, referring to her short, blond locks. “The hair is too long for the wigs and I’m sick of the wigs. But like, what are we supposed to do here?”
Her fans took to the comments to praise her short-haired look and recommend that she try to style it rather than hide it.
“Dye it bleach blonde and have fun!!” one user suggested. “I love it just like that! So cute! 🩷” another gushed.

“I kind of love it where it’s at…you’re beautiful,” former “Bachelorette” Kaitlyn Bristowe commented. Meanwhile, “Real Housewives of Dubai” star Caroline Stanbury wrote, “i love your hair ❤️”
Later on Thursday, Mellencamp shared an adorable video of her son Cruz trying to style her hair, but joked in the comments that the 13-year-old left her looking like “one of the Paul brothers,” referring to Jake and Logan Paul.
She shares Cruz, along with daughers Slate and Dove, with estranged husband Edwin Arroyave.
Ever since Mellencamp recieved the positive update on her physical health, she’s been focused on recovering emotionally and mentally as well.
“I’ve been in therapy,” she told Page Six in February. “I’ve been working really hard trying to figure out, find that peace, find that happiness, find that joy, find myself again.”
Earlier this month, she shared that she is in a new relationship with an “older man.”
“We’re going to call him Derek,” the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum shared on a recent episode of her podcast “Two Ts in a Pod” without providing any other revealing details about her mystery man.
Mellencamp credited her new beau for being “pretty good” about her cancer journey so far, noting, “He’s a relatively, like, positive and logical person in general.”
“The thing that I like the most about him is he makes me laugh,” she gushed.
