Don't commit a penalty against the United States men's hockey team.

The U.S. has a brilliant power play top line for the 2026 Winter Olympics, which they displayed a bit at their final practice before their first game, which will be played Thursday against Latvia.

The powerplay lines were on display for Team USA, and the top line was shared on X by ESPN's Emily Kaplan:

  • Jack Eichel
  • Auston Matthews
  • Tage Thompson
  • Matthew Tkachuk
  • Quinn Hughes

Eichel is the superstar center from the Vegas Golden Knights, and the captain Matthews is also a center, from the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Thompson wasn't on the 4 Nations Faceoff roster, but the Buffalo Sabres star has been so good this season that he couldn't be left off now.

Tkachuk is back to full health and ready to represent the Florida Panthers.

Hughes was traded earlier this NHL season from the Vancouver Canucks to the Minnesota Wild, and he's one of the best offensive D-men in the world.

The Athletic's Michael Russo added a report on the second power play unit, which appears to be Brady Tkachuk, Matt Boldy, Kyle Connor, Zach Werenski and Jake Guentzel.

Both units feature four forwards and one rangy defenseman.

Team USA will need its special teams to be at their best to get the gold medal, and at least on paper, these look pretty great.
