Celebrities and sports superstars have a massive following which often mean memorabilia that they touch go for huge prices. So, it came to no one's surprise that a certain piece of NBA Playoffs history between the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers had a big price valuation. What made it more expensive when it went into auction? It was the seat that Taylor Swift watched Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals in.

Cavs-Knicks NBA Playoffs seat gets huge asking price due to Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift's seat during Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Knicks and Cavs just went live for bidding in The Realest. The current bidding price for it stands at $6,000 and will likely go up in the final seven days of the auction which will end in June 15.

The description that accompanied Swift's Cavs-Knicks NBA Playoffs seats wrote: "Used courtside during Eastern Conference Finals Game 3 at Rocket Arena, this chair was occupied by one of the biggest music artists in the world and a 14-time Grammy Award winner during one of the most widely followed games of the 2026 NBA Playoffs...  Her attendance reflects the cultural reach of the NBA Playoffs and the significance of the Eastern Conference Finals as one of the most visible events in sports...  Its connection to one of the world’s most recognizable entertainers adds a distinctive layer of provenance to an item tied directly to the atmosphere and excitement of the 2026 Eastern Conference Finals, further reflecting the Cavaliers’ position at the intersection of sports and pop culture."

Notably, Swift has been a longtime fan of the Knicks. An interview with TIME magazine back in 2014 had the pop superstar proclaiming "because Amar'e is so cool" as her reason for why she supports the team in the NBA Playoffs. Contrary to her, Travis Kelce, Swift's fiance and tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, has been an avid supporter of the Cavs. Unfortunately, only one of them came out on top during this series and it was Swift's Knicks.

With the Knicks now up 2-0 in the NBA Finals over the San Antonio Spurs, it still remains a question whether Swift attends the championship-clinching game. If that happens and her seat gets auctioned again, the price will be much higher than $6,000.
