Michael Rubin confirms he ‘didn’t want people to have to choose’ between July 4 bash and Taylor Swift wedding
Look what she made him do.
Michael Rubin finally addressed Page Six’s April reporting that he pushed up his annual Fourth of July bash because of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding.
The Fanatics boss held his star-studded bash at his Hamptons home on Wednesday instead of his usual July 3 or July 4 date as Swift, notably, is set to tie the knot in New York City on Friday.

Page Six reported in April that Rubin would hold the star-studded Hamptons event on Wednesday, as Swift (pictured above in September 2024) was set to wed Travis Kelce on Friday. GAMR / BACKGRIDWhile Rubin claimed to People on Tuesday that he “didn’t change [his plans] because of that date,” he then copped to being “certainly aware of the date” and not wanting “people to have to choose.”
The 53-year-old told the outlet he had been “debating the dates” before ultimately making a decision.
“People come to the White Party no matter when we do it,” he added. “The White Party is going to be spectacular.”
Who’s making Taylor Swift’s wedding dress? As a longtime Swiftie and style expert, here are my best guesses
As a passionate Swiftie of 15 years who’s been writing about fashion for nearly two decades, I’ve spent much of my career covering Taylor Swift’s sartorial choices, from her stage costumes to her street style. I’ve documented each and every one of her eras, from the cowboy boots and curls of her country debut to the snake prints of “Reputation” to the sequins that defined her “Life of a Showgirl” press tour.
But the dress Swift wears this weekend to marry Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden will be something else entirely: a reflection of Taylor the Person, not Taylor the Performer. And for a hopeless romantic whose love songs are the stuff of legend, that gown will serve as the ultimate symbol of Swift’s fairytale ending, the “happily ever after” she’s been writing about since she was a teenager. To quote the mastermind herself: It’s been a long time coming.
Wearing bridal-coded Schiaparelli Haute Couture at the 2024 Grammys FilmMagicWhen I recently asked the team at Kleinfeld Bridal to share their predictions for Swift’s dress, buzzwords like “timeless,” “classic” and “feminine” jumped out — and that’s exactly what I envision for her as well. Given the Grammy winner’s fondness for “Love Story”-coded corsets, Old Hollywood references and vintage details, we can likely expect one (or all) of the above elements to factor into her wardrobe for the big day, which will almost certainly include multiple outfit changes.
Taylor Swift enlists help of one of her favorite NYC restaurants for Travis Kelce wedding
She knows places.
Taylor Swift has enlisted the help of Sartiano’s, one of her favorite New York City restaurants, for her and Travis Kelce’s wedding.
A truck for the Big Apple’s Mercer Hotel eatery was spotted outside of Madison Square Garden Wednesday night, in photos obtained by Page Six.

It is unclear whether the catering is for the couple’s Thursday evening rehearsal dinner or Friday wedding.
Swift and Kelce, both 36, last made headlines for dining at the Manhattan restaurant in May.
At the time, the couple was all smiles and holding hands on their way in and out of the hotspot.
Sartiano’s, notably, is run by Scott Sartiano, who is also behind Zero Bond, which Swift often frequents in NoHo.
The Knicks starting five are invited to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s MSG wedding
By abelluscinypThey’re going to be celebrating at Madison Square Garden for the second time in three weeks.
A source tells us that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have invited “the starting lineup for the Knicks,” including Jalen Brunson, to their wedding bash on Friday.
Swift and her pals started a Knicks tee trend — that the New York Post happily got on board with — when she attended one of the team’s games last month. Swift yelled so loud during he game that she could barely recite her Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction speech the following night.

NBAE via Getty Images“The quality of my speaking voice is the product of [something] that I am not sorry for… I was lucky enough to go to a Knicks game last night,” she said of her raspy tone after Steven Spielberg presented her with the honor.
“I screamed for 100% of it,” she continued about the Knicks game. “And then I got home and was like, ‘I gotta stop screaming,’” she quipped.
An insider told us at the time that Swift attended the game because “she’s a huge fan of the Knicks and really wants to be there to support them.” And now they may be there supporting her nuptials and partying until the wee hours with the couple come Friday, we hear.
Why Taylor Swift is letting certain guests off the hook with NDAs for MSG wedding
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce aren’t asking everyone to sign on the dotted line.
While many guests at the couple’s wedding have been required to sign non-disclosure agreements, the pop star and Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s inner circle have not been asked to do the same, a source exclusively told Page Six.
“Their closest friends and family haven’t been asked to sign NDAs,” the insider said. “Protecting their privacy is just something everyone in their inner circle has always naturally done.”

According to the insider, Swift and Kelce, both 36, are “incredibly grateful for the people around them.”
“They know there’s enormous interest in every detail of their wedding plans, so they don’t take for granted how fiercely loyal their friends and family have been,” the source noted.
