Tao Group relaunches Avenue with star-studded bash and New York Knicks celebration

It was double the celebration at the relaunch of one of New York’s most coveted celeb haunts of the 2010’s.

Tao Group unveiled the new Avenue Sky Lounge on Wednesday with the grand opening turning into a celebration of the New York Knicks spectacular win over the San Antonio Spurs.

The new club sits 100 floors in the sky on the rooftop of 30 Hudson Yards and VIPs such as French Montana, G-Eazy, Simon Huck, and DJ Clue packed the club to watch the game. Meanwhile, other partygoers squeezed together and watched from the newly renovated Peak restaurant.

The night, however, didn’t start off that way. Despite the massive crowds, we’re told organizers felt a bit of panic as the Knicks were down several points for two quarters and they were banking on capitalizing on their win to draw an even bigger crowd after the game.

The launch also brought out Ava Dash, Brandon Fallis, DJ Clue, PR maven Alison Brod, Gary Vee, Hannah Bronfman, Henrik Lundqvist, Kyle Cooke, Ramona Singer, and the clubs head honco Noah Tepperberg, who attended with his wife Melissa.

Travis Barker kicked off the evening with a performance at the Edge as his wife, Kourtney Kardashian, watched nearby in a roped off section with longtime flack pal Simon Huck. The trio were later ushered into the VIP bash at Avenue to watch the game.

Party guests noshed on bites served from Peak’s menu. Several DJs hit the decks throughout the party, which ended at around 2 a.m.
