The Boston Celtics just achieved the worst franchise record since the 2013-14 season. After three games, the 2023-24 NBA champions have yet to win a game, prompting big reactions from the fans on the internet.

On Sunday, the Celtics lost to the Brooklyn Nets, extending their season record to 0-3. For some fans, Boston was tanking their 2025-26 season for the lottery pick.

A fan weighed in that the team were in such a precarious state because of Jayson Tatum's absence.

One of the fans mocked the team for tanking just to get a terrible lottery pick in the next year's draft.

Meanwhile, one of the fans said that Boston had overpaid for Jaylen Brown.

Jaylen Brown's 40-point performance failed to save the Celtics against Pistons

After losing Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday in the offseason trade, and Jayson Tatum to an Achilles injury, the Celtics could be in big trouble this season, and it is apparent from the start.

On Sunday, as the team looked for their first victory, the Pistons came ready to ruin it. Boston closed its first quarter with a 9-point lead. However, they were not able to hold the lead and the Pistons outscored them by 11 points in the second quarter. Boston couldn't get over the 13-point deficit in the fourth quarter.

Jaylen Brown was the lone man standing for Boston. He scored 41 points on 12 of 25 shooting from the field, including 5 of 9 shots from beyond the arc.

Brown and Co. will play the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday in their second back-to-back game.
