“Swifties are ruining football”: NFL fans troll Travis Kelce as Chiefs TE leads Josh Allen, Drake Maye in fan balloting for Pro Bowl games

Travis Kelce finished first in Pro Bowl Games fan voting for the second consecutive year. The Kansas City tight end racked up 420,383 votes, beating Buffalo's Josh Allen and New England's Drake Maye.

When fans found about that Kelce topped the balloting again, they pointed to his fiancée, Taylor Swift's, massive following.

"Swifties are ruining football," one fan tweeted.

"It's become a popularity contest that doesn't take performance/skill into account. Either fan voting needs to count for less or pro bowls need to stop being added onto resumes," a fan wrote. "Half of these guys don't deserve to be in the pro bowl and probably won't be lmao," another fan wrote.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero broke the news on Sunday, as fan voting ended on Dec. 15. The complete AFC and NFC teams will be announced on Tuesday at 10 a.m. ET.

Chicago quarterback Caleb Williams and safety Kevin Byard grabbed spots in the top five. The Bears had more votes than any other franchise.

What decides Pro Bowl rosters?

Fans get a say, but they're not the only ones voting as coaches and players control a third of the decision. All three groups vote separately, and the results are combined. The players and coaches turned in their picks on Friday.

This year's game will be held in San Francisco during Super Bowl week. The flag football matchup will kickoff on Feb. 3 at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN. It will be played inside the Moscone Center South Building.

Jerry Rice will coach the NFC, while Steve Young will be on the AFC's sideline.
