Several Team India players went up and down the latest ICC T20I rankings after the five-match home series against South Africa. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav fell out of the top ten in the batter rankings after his poor run extended through the Proteas series.

The right-hander scored only 34 runs in four games at a dismal average of 8.50 and a strike rate of 103.03. Surya dropped three spots to 13th in the rankings.

On the other hand, Surya's Mumbai Indians (MI) teammate, Tilak Varma, continued his march at the top of the T20I batter rankings. The southpaw enjoyed an outstanding series against South Africa, scoring 187 runs at an average of over 62 and a strike rate of 131.69, resulting in him gaining one spot to move up to third in the rankings.

Young opener Abhishek Sharma continued his reign at the top of the rankings after another solid series against the Proteas, scoring over 100 runs at a strike rate of 174.57.

In the T20I bowler rankings, India's Varun Chakaravarthy continued his stay at the top spot, following an excellent series against the Proteas. The wily spinner finished with 10 wickets at an average of 11.25 and an economy of under 7.50.

Ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah was the biggest beneficiary, climbing 10 spots to 18th on the T20I bowler rankings. The champion seamer finished with four wickets in the three matches he played against the Proteas at an average of under 20 and an economy of 7.18.
