ESPN's Brian Windhorst threw the news into a long diatribe about the Phoenix Suns at the start of the second round of the NBA Draft broadcast on Thursday night.
The news: Devin Booker is set to get a contract worth $70 million per year.
There's been speculation as to whether Phoenix would trade away Booker. They already dealt Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets.
But it sounds like the Suns are committed to Booker for the long term.

Windhorst's news is the flip side of the coin. If Booker stays, he'll get a new deal. And if Booker gets a new deal, it'll be for massive money.
A $70 million per year deal is historic, and Booker deserves it. He's stuck it out in Phoenix, from a trip to the NBA Finals in 2021 to a brutal 2024-25 season.
It sounds like he'll be with the Suns for a long time now, for a lot of money, and it'll be up to Booker to lead a turnaround back to winning in Phoenix.
