WWE is reportedly set for a massive crossover with popular Netflix series Stranger Things. The American series has been one of the most popular shows in Netflix history and is currently in the middle of its final season.
With WWE joining Netflix earlier this year, the window of opportunity for cross promotion for the sports entertainment is getting bigger.
According to a report from Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE is set for an upcoming crossover promotion with Stranger Things. The Stamford-based company's show Monday Night RAW joined the streaming platform in January, and Stranger Things is headed for its series finale later this month.
Notably, the supernatural sci-fi drama has been a hit for Netflix over the years, with its fourth season ranking number 4 on their all-time top 10 English TV series. Moreover, all seasons of the show have been ranking in the top ten globally as fans await the final chapter.
The final season streamed on November 26, 2025, with episodes 1-4 before Thanksgiving. Episodes 5-7 (Volume 2) will drop on December 25, with a two-hour finale scheduled on New Year’s Eve.
There is also a previous connection between the wrestling promotion and Stranger Things. Former Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley dressed up as a spoof version of the character Eleven from the show during WrestleMania 39's Hollywood promos.
WWE returned to Netflix Top Ten last week
The last few weeks before December 8 hadn't been ideal for WWE on Netflix. The November 24 and December 1 episodes of RAW failed to land in the top ten of Netflix's global charts.
However, last week the show did 2.5 million global views on the streaming platform. As a result, the show ranked tenth globally and fifth in the US, marking its return to Netflix's global top ten.
Additionally, the episode of RAW registered 4.4 million hours viewed. With a new partnership likely on the horizon with Stranger Things, the TKO-owned promotion will be hoping for a boost in these numbers going forward.
